A dark, flash-driven artistic direction inspired by the underground Parisian hip-hop and electronic scenes. I was responsible for 3D modeling, editing, and overall creative direction on short, high-impact music videos for social media, in collaboration with Belgian and French producers Kakou and Jonny2x. This approach was rooted in a desire to justify the use of CGI over traditional photography, particularly as a way to collaborate remotely with artists overseas while maintaining visual intimacy and realism. My signature use of flash lighting is both stylistic and practical: it reinforces the raw, documentary-inspired aesthetic of the work while significantly reducing render times by requiring the calculation of only one light source, without compromising the photorealistic quality of the scenes. The visual language also aimed to preserve a certain mysteriousness and anonymity, aligning with the underground culture the project was rooted in.
